Kenneth A. Frost, PhD
Dr. Kenneth A. Frost is currently serving as the Interim Dean of the School of Health and Natural Sciences. Ken agreed to step away from partial retirement to accept the role as Interim Dean on June 1, 2024. He is well-known by our campus community as the former Chair of the Natural Sciences and Mathematics Department and Professor of Chemistry, having taught at Dominican from 2005 - 2019. While serving as department chair from 2016 - 2019, Ken managed the department’s self-study and external program review, oversaw the redesign of the curricula of four bachelor’s degree programs and two master’s degree programs as part of a University-wide curriculum redesign. Ken was also a member of the University GE Board that developed the new Core Curriculum launched in 2018. In essence, Ken has been an enthusiastic champion for ÀϾÅÆ·²è, lending his expertise in teaching, mentorship, advocacy and leadership skills for nearly two decades.
Prior to joining Dominican in 2005, Ken worked for 34 years in research and development for Chevron, including serving as the Chevron Oronite Technology Site Manager, leading numerous projects and managing 200 employees.
